BUTTERMILK BISCUITS
2 cups flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
5 Tbsp chilled Crisco
1 cup buttermilk
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening until coarse. Add buttermilk till dough forms. Knead until smooth. Pat till ¾" thick and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Makes 12 biscuits. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
