SCOTTISH OAT SCONES
1 ½ cup flour
1 ¼ cup quick uncooked oats
¼ cup sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/3 cup melted butter
1/3-cup milk
1 egg
½ tsp salt
½ cup raisins
Combine dry ingredients together, mix liquids and egg together, and then add to dry mixture until moistened. Stir in raisins. Shape dough into ball and then pat out on floured surface to form 8 inch circle about ¾ inch thick. Bake on greased and floured cookie sheet at 425-degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve in wedges.
